After the completion of the Taj Mahal, the great mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, the Emperor commissioned a miniature Taj of solid gold and covered in diamonds, rubies, emeralds and pearls. Simply known as “The Treasure of India”, the mini- Taj is worth millions. As a gesture of good will, the Indian Government is allowing the mini-Taj to be on display at the British Embassy at the gala of the newly appointed British Ambassador to India, Mr. John Adams. However, when India’s most famous detective arrives and announces the murder of the Art Curator for the Republic of India, and the equally disturbing news that the Treasure of India is missing, everyone in the room becomes a suspect.
